ABC Spring

ABC Spring

A Poem by Nika Pronina

APRIL is the spring month with many rain showers!

I put my BOOTS on and go outside to jump in puddles.

The curled CATERPILLAR sleeps on a leaf,

I walk in the field of yellow DAFFODILS.

I like playing EASTER EGG hunt. I have a basket and I’m ready!

A big green FROG croaks at the old lady.

Cool GRASS tickles my feet,

Ruby Rabbit HOPs down the street.

An ICE-CREAM truck serves colorful ice-cream! Purple, blue, yellow, and even gray.

I drink tomato JUICE almost every day!

The KITE flies high above me.

I count LADYBUG spots: one, two, three.

Snow is MELTING. Puddles are everywhere!

Birds make their NESTS with grass and twigs. I see the bird nest up there.

Granny wears an ORCHID brooch on her blouse.

PLANTS grow faster in the greenhouse.

The QUEEN BEE is the mother of the hive.

I see a RAINBOW in the sky!

The little SNAIL crawls home in the golden hour.

TULIPS are my favorite flowers!

My UMBRELLA is one of the important things in the spring.

I’m planting VEGETABLES: cucumbers, beets, carrots, and beans.

WORM wiggles and tunnels through the ground.

XIMENIA grows in the town’s garden. Its fruits are oval and round.

Our YARD gets more beautiful in the spring.

We are making ZUCCHINI muffins for dinner.
