ABC SpaceA Poem by Nika ProninaI want to
be an ASTRONAUT, I want to
know what a BLACK HOLE hides. I want to
see never stopping COMET In its full
light. I want to
watch how the comet passes DOUBLE STAR. Coming
closer to EARTH, The comet
gives a birth To FALLING
STAR, Sliding
down the sky. I’d like to
see the trail Of
magnificent light The star
leaves behind. What a
wonderful sight! I want to
see GALAXIES far away In the
HUBBLE TELESCOPE, IO, the
volcanic moon of JUPITER, And like
KEPLER discover new laws. I want to
pilot a LUNAR MODULE, I want to
land on the MOON, I want to
build a fast spacecraft To visit
NEPTUNE, The most
distant planet, Its ORBIT
is 165 years long! But PLUTO
is farther from the Sun, So it won! I want to
pass by QUASARS In my
ROCKET. Shining
like jewels in the crown, They are
the brightest objects. I want to
see SATURN. This gas
giant is very light. I’d like to
count its beautiful rings. They are
made of chunks of rock and ice. I want to
build a super-powerful Sensitive
TELESCOPE To detect
UFO in the UNIVERSE. I want to
offer my hand to aliens And say my
friendliest Hello! Then I will
tell them what I know. The
brightest planet is VENUS. WHITE
DWARFS are dying stars. AN X-RAY
TELESCOPE sees more than us. It turns unseen
energy into images And send them
back to Earth. YURI
GAGARIN is the first human to travel in space. I want to
be like him, I want to
explore the universe. The sun is
at its ZENITH. Sitting in
the tree’s cool shade, I’m reading my ABC Space book. I’m sure
that one day My big
dreams will come true! © 2023 Nika Pronina |
