My Curse

My Curse

A Poem by RaynesMelody
"

This poem's about struggling under the strain of depression. I am not trying to undermine religions in anyway, its just an experience expressed through words.

"

What can I do about
my will to live?
I'm burnt out, I'm spent,
I have nothing left to give.
And though my life may
be full of worth. My heart bows
under this stressful curse.

Oh great God, You are so kind.
You gave me life, but destroyed
my mind. Try to understand
that you'd endure this pain
if any other had to bear such shame.
But alas my love, I have to go.
My time is up, it has been
determined so.

I like the use of religion and thoughts in this poem. Some questions are answer by living and struggling through. Many questions raised by this poem. I believe we can't blame God or anyone for our life. We create our own mess. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

This is a powerful piece. I love how you have written this thoughtfully, and the pain can really be felt. There have been times when I went through the same phase, so I can relate to this. Great job!
"My heart bows under this stressful curse" - I think this is my favorite line for some reason lol
