These Differences

These Differences

A Poem by RaynesMelody

Oh you girls with your
frumps and your frills,
your lipstick and foundation,
your fashion termination.
With face caked
in orange makeup
you consider other boys
straight after a breakup.

Oh you girls that always
simper and pout,
no wonder you parents
wish to put you out.
Your mini-skirts the
size of a belt;
your very first kiss
and how it felt.

And even if that
doesnt seem like enough
you only seem to like
guys who are "buff"
The men you choose
'Cuz they look like Thor
will only treat you
like some w***e.

So the next time you
giggle or rudely shout,
try to remember what

modesty's about.
Remember the next time
that you're so loud:
these diffrences of mine
make me feel proud.

Great rhyme and meter. The message is one that I've always believed, too. Being an oldling, I've seen people choosing one another for the wrong reasons for a long time. A person's heart and character are far more important than surface appearances or what fad they might be following.

I like the story and the logic of this poem. Sometime we can get what we want and find out too later. Wasn't worth the time or trip. Better to be real and have fun with your life. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
