The worst pain

The worst pain

A Poem by K
"

It's been two years since I lost my children. 8-26-21

"
Death brings about a closure,

Giving the mourner a place to visit and remember.

But where is my closure,

When it's the living I grieve for?

Every place I go, I hope for just a glimpse,

Even though they're just ghosts of my past.

It is difficult to move on from such tragedy love isn't easy to simply let fade. We are at our strongest when loved unconditionally, yet what happens when that love is torn from us? What becomes of us as we are lost to the emptiness within our hearts? Hope. To live again and fill that space with new ground in the grace of love from others. Who fill that empty space with their love for us. We will never forget our loss for it clings to us like the comfort of a familiar coat. It's why we take them with s forward in our continued life. Thank you for sharing your powerful poem and words with us.
