Carefree
Happy,
We were once star-crossed lovers.

And then it all changed.

Loving,
Caring,
We had the whole world at our feet.

And then it all changed.

Anger,
Insults,
The blissful paradise started to crumble.

And then it all changed.

Fighting,
Yelling,
We hold on to hope to keep ourselves sane.

And then it all changed.

Scathing,
Fallen,
We only drift further apart.

And then it all changed.

Wounded,
Despair,
Is there ever an end in sight?

You sound like a pair of disagreeable people.

You sound like a disagreeable person. I know this because I am that person.

This is a readable poem but not a good poem.

It reads more like prose in broken sentences.
