Monopoly of Life 02-28-17

A Poem by K

I climb to square one,
Advance to square two,
And then to three.
But one wrong move,
And I'm back at square one.

Get out of jail free card;
Well isn't that nice!
Didn't think I'd need it,
But now I'm stuck in place,
Handing over the freedom card.

Now I'm back in the game,
And land on a square,
"Pass go and collect $200"
Now who's the bigshot
Coming out on top?

Too big for my britches,
I'm now ruling the game,
I'm a property manager,
Collecting rent and buying more land,
But eventually the game has to end.

Intresting, reminded me of the crash of 08 - particularly becuase of the last line. I do like the way in which this was set out - it almost felt to me that you were 'mocking the so called big boys'

Nicely penned.

Mark.

Always enjoy reading pieces which are 'different'.
