Towards the latter part of our relationship

I was scared to love.
I was scared to admit that I was afraid to love.
I locked away my heart,
I told myself I would never have that fairy-tale ending.
I wasn't searching for you when you came into my life.
I wasn't looking to love.
You melted my ice cold heart.
Now I'm not scared to love,
Because I have loved deeply.
I'm only scared to lose you.
And yet I'm losing you even now,
I don't want to hold on too tightly,
But I feel as though I'm not holding on tightly enough
