You Should Be Here

You Should Be Here

A Poem by K

"
The ground is crumbling beneath my feet,
And yet I still hold on for dear life.
I'm afraid to let go, afraid to fall.
But I'm only dragging you down with me.
I wish to save you alone, knowing there's no hope for me.
I can't push you away, I can only cling tighter.
And so begins our fall, our descent into purgatory.
I should have saved you,
For then you would still be here.
