Anxiety PersonifiedA Poem by Nightingale SilvaA poem about anxiety
And I gasp for breath...
I feel the waves crash over me, Crushing, fleeting. I feel the fears drowning me, Holding me down, Holding me back. I try to catch my breath... But I just can't. Too much consuming me, Though I try to not be bitter. I can overcome, I will fight back. The emotions and the fears, A crippling pandemic. Anxiety clutching to me like a scared child, She won't let me go, Won't let me just live. I try to let go, I try to run. But Anxiety finds me every time. Do I need her? Or does she need me? Anxiety will always get the best of me.
