Something I wrote quite some time ago.

It’s not like you notice when I am here or there
It’s not like you notice when I am anywhere
It’s not like you notice when I have a pen in my hair
It’s not like you notice when I am just standing there

I bet you wouldn’t notice if I was mad
I bet you wouldn’t notice if I was feeling sad
I bet you wouldn’t notice if I went home crying
I bet it because you didn’t

You guys didn’t notice me here or there
You guys didn’t notice me anywhere
You guys didn’t notice when I had a pen in my hair
You guys didn’t notice when I was just standing there

You didn’t suspect I was mad
You didn’t suspect I was feeling sad
You didn’t suspect I went home crying
Oh boy, What a friend you are

In a way, the teasing was better, at least you noticed me there
Now whenever I say “Hi” You just pass me by.
Not looking back at me, not even saying anything
Is it something I said?
Is it something I did?
What? Do I deserve not to live?

Yeah right we’re all connected
Because at the moment I am totally disconnected
You don’t notice when a person is mad
You don’t notice when a person is feeling sad
Because I am both and I haven’t even gotten so much as a glance

I want to be a noticed person in the world
Not a forgotten ghost in a graveyard
