Traps And Sharpened SpearsA Poem by Aurora .I.A little piece I'm working on.
The tears don't stream down my face
Don't leave a single trace There stuck in my eyes Concealed, Disguised The only evidence is in my face Even with a cheery smile in place It always there No matter how faded Forever the unspoken fears Will lurk in there It makes me wonder If anyone will ever Notice the truth Look between the blinds Uncover the witty way I hide That's what I'm waiting for But the mask has never tore before So somehow I doubt Anyone will ever find out Who's the girl behind the concealed face After all I don't leave much of a trace Some parts are scattered, Others are bare And I often ask how I got here To this place To this empty space All there is, is guards Protecting all of the secrets to my heart Sending others afar With traps and sharpened spears Awaiting to tear apart anyone who gets near So for everyone on the journey, please beware I'm not a person you can just tare © 2012 Aurora .I.Author's Note
