I Don't Wish, I Don't Pray

I Don't Wish, I Don't Pray

A Poem by Aurora .I.
"

I wrote this a couple of years ago and just found it :D

"
I don’t wish
I don’t pray
Who would listen either way?
There are plenty of young people, like I
Who hold one true desire in their eyes
But even though there are plenty of wishes
There is said to be only one that can grant with a fling of his wrist
So considering such, I’ve decided
That we give him to much
To much wishing, to much dreaming
To much pleading, to much screaming
For our small desires to come true
For all the fog to just vanish and let us through
But what do we do?
To pay the debt due?
Nothing is what they do.
They enjoy their new found glory
And leave the god that helped the so,
In the mist and fog where their old troubles flew
So I grew to comprehend
That we should make our own dreams come true.

Sigh. The question of a god or higher being is so confusing. I do believe there is a higher being I just don't know if that's god or not. My beliefs are so confusing, isn't everybody's? Anyway any and all feedback is welcome! Thank you for taking time to look at my poem!
