TrustingA Poem by Alice WalkerTrying to believe everyone is good, no matter what anyone says.
Respecting that everyone doesn't have to tell their darkest secrets. Understanding that, no matter what, they will always care for you back.
Starting as strangers and slowly earning a respect for one another. Trying their patience and seeing how much they truly mean to you. Internally knowing that they will stand up for you and you for them. Not always seeing eye to eye, but always managing to compromise. Good friends will bail you out, but best friends will be sitting beside you asking to do it again. © 2013 Alice Walker |
