Good Morning Little Priestess

The little Priestess wakes up and the early morning.  The morning sun fights its way through the curtains.  She smiles at her old friend.  In her mind she greets him as she once did.  It has been many nights since she met her very own mother, and it has been her greatest dream.

Grrrrr she hears and then her tummy hurts.  Oh, how hungry she is.  She calls out for her mother, but all that sounds is a little cry.  She tries again this time yelling out “Mom Mom” but the only sound is a loud cry.  The door opens and a figure is standing there.

Good morning beautiful.  “How did my Little Priestess sleep last night?”

OH my it is my mother, her voice I can never miss that sound.  Again she hears Grrrrrrr. Oh her belly she needs to feed it so bad. “Mother my belly is so empty.”  All that comes out is a cry.

Mother comes over and sings.  Her favorite morning song it calls her beautiful and talks about how her smile makes for a beautiful day.  As she sings she cleans up the Little Priestess and once again the Little Priestess hears Grrrr.

“Mom Mom please feed my belly.” but, all that comes is a cry.  She don’t understand why things are so different in this land.  Where people could talk to her before now all they hear is tears and cries.

But, as things go her very own mother knew.  She gave her a bottle of warm milk.  Oh how it tasted so good.  Her belly said glerb glerb as she drank hungrily.  Mom soon took the bottle from her lips.  “It is time to give me a little burp my Little Priestess”.

She began to pat her back and soon surprising she could feel something in her rising and it camp out Burrrrp.  “That was a good one do you have one more,”  again she patted her little back and the sound Brrrrp came from her tiny lips.

“That was very good now here let's get you some more warm milk in your tummy”.  Mom always seemed to understand her cries.  Once she had her belly full and all the strange burrping was done a second shadow appeared in the door.

“Good morning sweet pea”.  Oh, her Dad came in.  He gave her a kiss on her forehead and she smiled a sleepy smile.  When she got her very own mom she didn’t know that she got her very own dad, too.  “After you nap we are going to watch some football.”  Her Dad said.

Her Dad and her had a ritual on Sunday’s that allowed mom some rest.  He took her to the living room and they watched images move on a huge screen.  Dad calls it football.  She just enjoyed having a Dad that she never knew existed.  She pondered why the Universe hid such things from her.

As the day drew by and she drifted into her nap.  The new Red Haired angel met her in her dreams.  “Hello Little Priestess.  How is your new family”? The angel asked.

“Is that what it is called when we are all together?”  The Little Priestess questioned quietly.

“Ah yes it is.  My little grandchild you are very lucky to have such an amazing Dad.  Trust me I know.  Soon you will meet your oldest sibling.  Ah look at the time I must go”.  She leaned in and gave a gentle kiss her scent as sweet as a rose.
