ReflectionsA Poem by NightMovesReflections give off many views, there are many angles to reflections. What does your reflections say?
Reflections show us perspective,
The angle to which you stand may not be what others see. Your life may be what others envy, some pity. Some live in angst, others in glee. Children’s reflection mirror that of what they see. Their angle is blunt and surface level, Brutally honest is how they are, forward thinking, So it’s our duty to protect them from the devil. Your reflection to me shows triumphant. You opened up and poured out your heart. I used to view you outside the looking glass, But now I see more than I had from the start. Shine bright my angel for you’ve got reason to smile. You’ve got three reasons to be happy, then here I am. We’ve had our bouts, yet always come together. I pray we hold each other until the very end. Dark and dismal decay, my life before you. You shattered that eerie pane. Thank you for piecing me back together. You are my greatest refrain. No matter the reflection we speak of, There’s that what we tend to ignore. The silhouette of what you get out, Is the effort you put forth. I vow to keep my the promises I make, You won’t have to worry who’ll come home to you. My heart is yours through sickness and health, I promise to love you through and through. Thank you for loving me just the way I am. No other heart could ever give me that spark, You give me courage and purpose. Life is brighter on the other side of the dark. It doesn’t matter what angle people see us from, We know our love for each other is vast. God had a hand in putting us together, Agape love will help this family last. © 2023 NightMovesReviews
