The Best is Yet to BeA Poem by NightMovesA heartfelt poem for hope and love 09/21/2021
Into the wilderness, I took a glimpse of my mountainous trek.
Unknowing voyage, I felt born again, brand new. Took on challenges, looked at myself in the mirror. I saw a man sick and tired, that was the moment I knew. Shoes worn out from the miles I ran. Sick and tired from the filth and trash of my life. My heart slowly pounds from the weakening decay. Poor choices and actions feel like a disappointing plunge of a knife. Luckily my love, I have you to lay down my fears. You feed my hunger and desire to change my story. There is not enough time in life to take you for granted. You calm me and pack up my worry. You are my everything, I love when we are together. You are my sunshine on a cold and rainy day. You brighten my life no matter the struggle! An eternity is long, but only with you I will stay. Whether that means I fight to keep you happy Or I steal a shimmering Star. You will never be without me Because I will be right where you are. When we are old and frail. You will not have to be alone Because I will still be by your side. Right in our beautiful Home. Life without you is a life I would not want. Dark, cold, and dismal, a sight I would not want to see. If there is one promise I will always keep, it would be: The best is yet to be. © 2021 NightMoves |
