Dreadful Thought

Dreadful Thought

A Poem by NightMoves
"

Poem written in a time of dismay (1/25/2015).

"
I smoke to escape the pain,
Although it draws me more to think.
I fall into dreadful thought,
Which rushes me off the brink.

I stumble and fall into a state of sorrow.
Pieces of me crash and crumble.
Accumulated thought swooshes and sways,
which towers around me causing me to tumble.

I cannot escape this unnerving feeling.
Pain accumulates, for my heart is stiff.
Too many let downs time after time.
I have had my share of what if's?

Nothing works out, at least it seems.
I always wonder, what is going for me?
No love, no money, I am a lost cause.
Maybe there is a future, I would have to just wait and see.

This is a past poem I had found and tweaked a little bit grammar wise. I was a teen.
