Drama Queen

Drama Queen

A Poem by Night Jasmine

"Stop with the drama"
You say as I pour out every last drop of emotion left in my body and soul
Almost Empty
Drip like tears
Drops of warm milk and honey like your grandmother used to make you as a child
Childhood
13 was the last time I felt innocent
The warmth and protection of clothes make you less vulnerable until you are stripped of sanity and self worth
Naked from the inside out
A vessel of blood and muscles
Sometimes when I sit still I can feel my heart beating

A very powerful piece here that strips back all levels of the psyche. Your lines ‘ The warmth and protection of clothes make you less vulnerable until you are stripped of sanity and self worth’, I found to be extremely thought provoking and profound.

Kind regards,

Lathen
