PerspectiveA Poem by NidhiThis poem has two sides. It follows the idea of whether "a glass is half-full or half-empty". The first thought that occurs to you is your state of mind. The sky seemed beyond my reach, Tinted blue I wondered with clueless eyes, Times it showered and drenched me, Times it fell upon me with more Weight I could bear, Even then Still I was alive.
The sand on the beach sunk my foot in, I struggled with great force, Just when I thought now I’m free, A huge wave gushed in, I fell on my head, Now again staring at the sky beyond my reach In the hands of the monstrous sea, Even then Still I was alive.
I saw the two meet at a distance, Arguing who was deeper. They fought till both turned Black from blue, And left me in the dark to return home, Even then Still I was alive.
I walked back alone, Now with nothing to stare at, The world was black in every corner I had lost myself. Even then Still I was alive. © 2016 NidhiFeatured Review
