This is an oldie I wrote back in 2006 and I just stumbled upon it going through some old papers. Its interesting to go back and see the mind of my 22 year old self :)

The Sky's are Burning

The sky's are burning once again

So much time wasted

Been so lost  in this darkness

Decaying from the inside

Light and breath

Look to the heavens

With my questions

Falling stars down to earth

Keys to locked doors of my soul

The sky's are burning

I find my way only when the sky's are burning

It's amazing to see how one alters over the years, how living changes or cements temperament, desires, opinions. Whatever's happened. like the boulder rolling downhill, we pick up this and that, rest a while to inhale it or.. shake it off. That's life and seems, how your intense and finely phrased words appear to me. 'Falling stars down to earth ~ Keys to locked doors of my soul'.

When life is at its most extreme is when one feels most alive. Or - is it that there are times when the spirit burns to fly like a meteor?! Your words intrigue.
