Recurring Nightmare

Recurring Nightmare

A Chapter by Nicolerhi

"Stop kidding yourself, my dear Caroline." I hear the voice say.
Crap. The dream. Again.
It seems like the girl expects me to respond, but the bandana that was around my eyes in the previous dreams was now around my mouth. Infact, there was nothing around my eyes; however, I still couldn't see. The room was pitch dark, and it sounded like the girl was kneeling right in front of me on the floor.
"Don't be fooled into thinking I'll ever be brought to, how you say, 'justice'," the girl giggles, "I'm only doing this for him. And, you really should have listened to me..."

She stands, and I here her footsteps trod up some stairs to a door; it opens and I get temporarily blinded before there is darkness once more.
