Thank You

A poem for Ben

Thank you for being my one true friend.

You have always been right by my side.

And whenever I called for you to lend your hand

You held me whenever I cried

I know that my words, they are simple and short.

They have meaning none-the-less.

I thought I would give to you a rather vague report

Of these feelings inside of my chest.

When I'm with you my mind seems to forget

All of the things I ache to not remember. 

So,Thank you, my love, for clearing my head

On this greatful day of November.

You make me not care about being crazy.

To you I'm just normal.

You cherish my flaws no matter how they may seem.

With you, I feel important.

You would go through hell to make me smile.

You never give up on me.

You show me that waiting is worth the while.

And you teach me how to be free.

If I feel lost or alone

You show me that I am never.

You do not focus on what I have done.

You focus on forever.

With open arms

And a trusting heart

You take my hand and say

You never want us to be apart

And you will marry me someday.

Thank you, my love, for committing to forever.

Thank you for being my world.

Thank you for wanting us to be together.

Thank you for making me your girl.

From the heart, I can tell. This is such warm and full of loving feelings from one person to another. It's special when you have found that one - the one who you want to spend the rest of your days with and this poem is beautiful and so heart warming to read. Really emotional.
