This Boy Here

This Boy Here

A Poem by Nicole Renee

This boy here is my guardian angel,
Singing with sweet songs and strumming his guitar
To the inspiration that's all around him,
Never letting anything worry him
And lending his ear when anybody needs it,
Having a strong, caring heart for all the world to see.

His sweet smile is over the top,
And his deep blue eyes are something
You want to cover so you can see them for yourself,
Wanting to be in his protective arms
So you can have an excuse to feel his comfort
Wrapped up around you and to smell
The bakery bread perfume that
Comes off from him right after he's done with work.

And his laughter is a dizzy sensation,
Making you light headed with happiness
And tears rolling down your face,
His wit being something that
A comedian would agree with;
And his hair is the color of milk chocolate,
Always feeling like a soft silk when
Your skin touches it.

But this boy here is why I love him,
Not knowing why he chose me
While he could have chose a world
Of girls that are chasing after him,
Some of them looking as though
They're walking magazines.
But I don't care as long
As he's in my life, being the light
And butterfly sensation in my heart.
I love you, I love you, I love you.

Author's Note

Nicole Renee
This is about a girl thankful for the love of her life.
And the title inspired me; the "This Boy Here" contest did. But I might write a poem for that contest. ^ ^
