The Fickle Hat PickersA Chapter by Nicole Renee
There was a little boy and girl,
Who had their hats tall. One was abig, while the other one was asmall. They had woozits and glittzits that went all aglow, That went very fast when the time was a go! They even had stairs that went to more hats than more, And never liked to share, even when the hats went down below. All the little kids wished that they were like them, The littles kids that were named Pat Tat and Ram. Whenever they walked on by, the kids would go gander. They would muse, they would fly in their dreams of their old hatters. But when they asked if they could have one of their old hatters, Pat Tat and Ram gave them looks that would a blow. "No, you can't have them, stay away from our hatters! They are worth more than your little, itty bitty hatters! So go away, go away! We must treat our brand new hatters!" And aloof that they had went, to master with their ever growing collection. So one day, on a fun day, Pat Tat and Ram Flatters went to the asmusement park To have fun with their new hatters. They had even more woozits and gloozits That keep bay with their desires, Keeping them afloat while they bounced with a gleeful bounce. Then on the rollercoaster, a little boy and girl stared and gandered While they took a front seat, in front of Pat Tat and Ram With their parents being with them. They stared and they stared until Pat Tat and Ram Flatters gave A glare that could stare even a hippopotamus stare. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, your hats worth to gander. We wished we had strong hats, but our money can't worth the buyer." They apologized once, and apologized twice, But Pat Tat and Ram just went on a blow. "No, you can't have them, stay away from our hatters! They are worth more than your little, itty bitty hatters! So go away, go away! We must treat our brand new hatters!" The parents stared a jaw, and the little boy and girl Feared with a sad mission, staring at the floor Until the rollercoaster finished. Pat Tat and Ram's parents were fed up with their selfishness and rambles, Taking away their hats until they stopped to stop ramble. "That was cruel, that was mean. They just took a gander. We thought we taught you kids to share with a splander. But I guess we were wrong when we gave you a hatter. So sit here and sit here until you've learned a lesson On to be kind and to be share with no selfishness desired." So Pat Tat and Ram Flatters sat and just sat, For hours and hours until the sun grew so tired, That the stars started to twinkle with breaming afire. Then an epiphany hit them, like an elephant with a trunk. They smiled and smiled and took off their hatters, Breaming with that growing afire. They ran and they ran until they caught up With the other little boy and girl, Giving them their hats with no problem at all. Then they went home and gave away all their hats, Except for one set that they deared on the most. They were simple little hats, so tall and so old. But they loved their littles hats because they were so gold, Because their parents gave them a told that was sold to the world. So the town full of kids now had hat with woozits and glittzits, Giggling and smiggling while playing with their gold, Remembering that one faithful day when Pat Tat and Ram Flatters Gave up their prized possessions to give The other kids a hatter that were worth all the gold. © 2009 Nicole ReneeAuthor's Note
