The questions of everyday

Stick to me like glue,

Not coming off unless

You really try hard to clean it off.

So I guess I could wrap it up in

Words; right now, right here! So

Let me possess your attention to

The words right here, and then

Your eyes could be the new glue.

 

 

What if I hadn’t met the guy
Who amazed me so much,

 

 

And then taught me a valuable

 

Lesson on to not let go with the

Thing that I care about the most;

Without even knowing that he

Taught me a lesson without even knowing it?

What if I was still friends with

The girl that made me feel so

Much guilt; so much unnecessary anger;

Being the drama queen of it all!  
Would fate have had us argue later,

Or shown me a path of escaping the friendship?

 

 

And what if I could take over time?
I would probably go back and relive

 

 

The unforgettable memories I had

 

In my eighteen years of living while

Giving the naïve me a few lessons that
I had to learn while I was growing up.

 

 

So now I bid you adieu,
I must thank you for being

 

 

A great audience tonight!

The program at my school is weird,so that's why it's spaced in the stanzas. And I was going to enter into a what if contest, but it ended. But I wanted to write it anways...even if I think it sounds kind odd. *shrugs* Oh well. :D

all of life affords a lesson, the good as well as the bad. I like the tone, nostalgic but hopeful. like you have some regrets, but you know that is how we learn, thru our mistakes. Nice poem.
