Why So Serious?A Poem by Nicole Renee
Coming at you With a simple blade, I grin to your awareness Of my own presence, Delighted to see that you’re Enjoying this ‘rather eventful show’. Spinning the blade around and around, I point it at you and ask, “Why so serious?” Yet don’t hear a peep. I ask again, yet with a Low, sulky deep voice, Twisting my blade Towards your face. “Why so serious?” I don’t hear a thing, Shrugging with a smirk As I lips my lips side to side; A quirky habit that will never die. Then I give up, laughing as I say, “Let’s put a smile on that face!”, Seeing your blood splatter Across the floor and across you face. …..now here’s my card; I want to meet the batman.
