Show Me How to Lie

Show Me How to Lie

A Poem by Nicole Renee

                                                    My hearts yearns for this

While my brain know what to do,

Even if its thoughts are clouded

By my heart’s decision to

Just daydream this through.

It’s impossible to erase a killer smile

And a feeling that shouldn’t stay,

Yet it’s with my brain all the time,

Not straying to stay away from me.

So for now, I’ll have to live with it,

Not being able to touch any

Forbidden fruit in the garden of my mind,

Wanting to lie to my heart as long as I can

About this fruit, and how I can’t desire it.
