Apologize

Title poem :]

 

Accepting the truth and honesty, I still don’t believe that you

Pulled off that stupid stunt, making me savor every word that

You told me ever night, thinking that the life we would have

Shared would have been wonderful if you were in my life.
But I was wrong, my whole world shattering into two

When you said that it was
Over between us, saying that you had fallen in

Love with your old high school sweetheart. And

Over and over again, I wondered if you truly loved me,

Getting all of the passion out of me before you went to the

Iverson High School Reunion with me, remembering that I saw

Zoey on the gym floors with another one of my long lost best friends.

But I never thought that in my whole life that’d you were using me

To get to her all along; never knowing in our whole

Eleven years of being married that I could have savored

In the words of what you were really like in the inside….

Author's Note

I'm just going to point this out if nobody caught on to the story behind this: The guy married her, and loved her for a while until he thought about using her to get to Zoey, the woman's best friend. And yeah...he's kind of trying to apologize...kind of. Not totally. That's why I have the lyrics from the song "Apologize" at the bottom...it's like the wife is saying it,you could say.

That's all I wanted to say before getting obvious..well, too obvious. O_o


..And yes, I'm obsessed with Apologize by One Republic (feat. Timbaland), like with a lot of songs I listen to.

this is well written, i liked it. there were like one or two grammatical errors but nothing big. i did catch the story but it took a second too realize. good write. =]
