Falling All OverA Poem by Nicole ReneeGirl Number 1's POV in the music video.
The best thing about tonight Is that we’re not fighting, Yet you seem a little edgy With those sweet words That you are telling me On the tip of your tongue, Fumbling with the camera That you have in those Loving hands of yours. I suddenly get the feeling That something is wrong as You’re crawling towards my side On the other side of the bed, Running your hands along the curves Of my body. I then hear the phone ringing, Seeing you trample over your own feet That you have besides our bed. And when I look over my shoulder, I realize that I can read faces and I see the mask that you have worn Around me when I have touched My hand against your hand, Our kisses seeming so false now That I know your troubled truth. And as you’re speaking To the other line, I jumped off the bed, Slipping on my black dress That I wore for your mother’s Fifty seventh birthday party To impress your folks to Have them tell me that I look pretty In it with my emerald green eyes. I know that this is a shock for you Feeling those steely gray eyes of yours On my bare back, swearing under your breath As I’m running out the door With my suitcase in the other hand. I can hear those bittersweet words Yelling at me as I’m running down The street, calling for a taxi to take me Home in my disastrous state of mind. I rip open the door of the yellow taxi door Out, my head swimming as my tear are flowing down. Oh how I loved you before, but now you’re just An old memory to burn onto my heart. © 2008 Nicole ReneeAuthor's Note
