Pain

 

Protecting the one I love,

Anything can go either right or wrong

With this platonic love,

Making me wonder

If one day, I’ll make a regretful decision

That will turn my world upside down,

Stopping my protection while the

Never-ending assumptions would go

Around and around all day and all night long,

Having me wonder if this was really the right decision.

I think it made sense. It was a very creative format and structure to use for the poem as well. It isn't bad. The topic is one I've seen a lot, but again, you added some flare to it with your idea for the structure. It tells a story that we all can probably apply to our lives in one way or another. Thank you for sharing this.
