Apathetic

Apathetic

A Poem by Nicole Renee

Always remind me of how I wanted to run away from this

Place, I remember how I couldn’t stand to hear what you had to say,

A time bomb seeming to tick in my mind every time you brought up the subject.

But now that the
Time has passed us by, the words you speak aren’t affective

To me anymore, the emotions that used to rise lying low

From my face and my eyes, letting that
Hellish period of time wash away from my mind

As you speak of what you like the most, my
Ears tuning out as I just read your lips. But
To this day, even if you don’t speak about
What you used to talk about for a year,
I stop myself every time I hear a certain word, driving me
Crazy until I can feel no more in my veins.

Author's Note

Nicole Renee
I thought this turned out ok.....but what do you think of it? It's about my friend talking about this one guy and how I'm not surprised about it anymore (she's REALLY boy crazy...O.o).

Sorry about the line breakage in the first three letters....
