Just Wishing

Just let me wish away in my own imagination,

Using my heart and soul to convevy what I want.

Let the stars and the moon
Sing me a sad tune,
Tearing me into pieces one by one

As I think about what I really want

Deep down in my gut.

Want somebody to tell me something else,

Something unusual that I would never hear

From a person like I see in this present world.

Come to me and say that

I look pretty or that he wants to get to know me
So I can say 'You're different, and not like the
Rest of the world, and you don't expect

Much out of me except for my pure of heart.'

Now let me
Hold on to my dreams, wishes, and desires in the
Inside of my mind so you won't have to hear

About it anymore, I don't want to get you annoyed.

Now I'm going to go and sit upon a hill,

Getting lost in the universe that's above me.

I used to feel that way, that the world wanted too much out of one person. In some ways, I think the world sometimes still wants too much out of one person. But I guess what keeps us sane is that we have that one person who truly understands us, that one person who can dig down deep inside and pull out our every thought and emotion. That's the kind of person we need to keep close to our hearts. It's usually those people who never leave us.
