Aladdin

Aladdin

A Poem by Nicole Renee
"

Inspired by Never Had a Friend Like Me from the movie Aladdin! :D

"

My hero on a magic carpet,

All you have to do is say one word

And Abracadabra, the genie

Is at your side with only three wishes

To grant as you think about your deepest desires.

And with Abu at your side,

You’re unstoppable as you win over

The girl of your dreams and defeat

That psycho of a man Jafar,

Swimming in the sky with

The magic carpet underneath

Your feet to save you

From falling too deep.

So don’t give up on

Anything else you’re after,

Even if it’s stealing bread

From the local store,

Fighting an enemy from afar,

Or living life in vastest riches’

With that dearest love of yours,

Being a girl to not  pick a fight with.

Now I bow my head at you,

My hero on a magic carpet,
As I leave with your magic carpet

With a plastered smile upon my face.

I hope that we meet again,

So that I can make a wish with

Genie too, or whack a sword

At a distant enemy of yours.

I love this movie... Lol. You got to admit that everyone has that child still inside themselves (even if we don't want to admit it). XD ...This poem was for fun,but should I add more to the ending or not (Aladdin might want to kick my ass after I stole his carpet. Lol). ^_^ And what about the middle part? I'm not sure about that either.....

I liked it enough, but I also feel like it could be so much better. The flow was a bit choppy, so maybe read it aloud to yourself? I don't know, I feel like it could even be deeper even if Aladin is a kid's movie. Give it some more definition and emotion. :)

Aladdin is one of my all time favorite cartoons. So it would not be a jump for me to say I like this poem. Good job.
