Alive at NightA Poem by Nicole ReneeA sound poetry assignment for Creative Writing. The saxaphone sings in the Middle of the night, Knowing where to go At one o'clock this night. The music is alive and The night owls have come to hoot, The thumps of quiet feet going towards The heart of a new bar called 'Night Jazz Noon'.
Pushing and shoving my way Through the storming crowd, The tapping of fingers and The silent giggles bounce Back and forth to the corners Of the rooms, making me feel Right at home, knowing that I Can get away from the whispers Of a lazy afternoon from earlier On durning the day, and the Wood beaten nights of no sleep returned, Getting lost in the dreams and moans Of the flirtious music before me.
