The IntoxicationA Poem by Nicole ReneeInspired by 'At Last' by Billie Holiday.Freeing me from the darkness Your love has freed me from the tunnel, The hate that I used to be intwinded with. Your smile has lifted me high above in daydreams, Those ocean blue eyes making me fall even more From the height that I've now climbed at. I hope you never fade away; Don't be the ghost of my past! Your kisses make me melt, The electricity between us Being as poweful as sweet Chocolate on the tip of my tongue. When you hold me or don't hold me, I feel as though we should be together In eachaother's arms, Seeing a future with us together. My heart is yours for the taking, And I hope that yours is Mine for taking too.
