Song Bird's Tale

Song Bird's Tale

A Poem by Nicole Renee
"

Old poem way back in 2007

"

In its gilded cage,

As beautiful as it can be,

Singing its swaying tale

This little song bird cried to me.

It wanted freedom,

A brand new life.

As I listened to the sweet bird's tale,

I thought of my soul,

Feeling like a gilded cage

Nowhere to wander,

Feeling sorrow.

I opened the song bird's cage

Letting it fly in harmoney.

You gotta start somewhere and this one sounds like you've felt it. Sometimes a short and simple poem that is straightforward says it all. Keep it up.
