BetrayalA Poem by Nicole K.He comes home, but she isn't letting him in.Crimson words dripping from her bleeding heart,
Brazen as the smudged kisses on his jaw and collar.
Crystal tears, slipping, shattering on champagne stained cheeks,
Souls once fused now ripping themselves away.
Pretty pout melting to a frown, slipping into the oblivion of agony that one night opened,
Four beers, three hours, two condoms, one staggering misstep, no chance of mending.
Flash of gold, a sparkling diamond tossed into the street,
Amber eyes with dancing fire, doused with the rising tide of her tears.
She is lost to him, as his mind had been when disloyal treason shot his frozen heart,
Both alone, mourning, grieving the murder of their love.
