Pastel Pink

Pastel Pink

A Poem by Nicole Izzy R.

Pastel Pink

This moment it seems perfect

how many pills did it take

looking up at the sky

and the clouds are pastel pink

Has it been a whole bottle

has it been a few cuts

has it been a whole tablet

All i know is i feel numb

in my pastel pink world

no one can touch me

rainbows and candy

they make me sweet

in my pastel pink land

i don’t need anyone to care

my wrists are still clean

there’s no burn marks on my legs

Dare i wake up tomorrow

with a plan on my mind

i’ll just do this all over

and the crazy thoughts will fade

This moment seems perfect

how many pills has it been

looking up at the sky

and the clouds are pastel pink

I may not be fixed yet

but i’ve been stiched for now

in this deep sleep

i don’t need to worry about tomorrow

If the clouds remain light

then my worries will fade away

and if i want this to last forever

i know i’ts just another pill away...
