Setting Fires

Setting Fires

A Poem by Nicole Laszlo
"

I was tired of my sight.

"

If I could set fire

To everything around me-

I think I would

If I could sink

This entire ship

I dare say I would

If I could lay waste

To this fragile world we live in

-I would

If only to see the many miracles formed

As everything was made new

Nice. I think this is somewhere long the lines of my thinking, that we need to hit that reset button and start from scratch. This whole live to work and do what you're told isn't what we're meant to be, we should be living for the now instead of hoping it is still there when we are too old to do anything about it.
Love the positive twist at the end.

Fire is the ultimate cleanser... From it's depths emerge the new shoots of adversity. In its wake it brings new life from death. After its passing life begins anew prompted from it depths. Love this.
