Gentle GhostsA Poem by Nicole LaszloStraight forward poem. Older one. These gentle ghosts Keep playing at my fears These gentle ghosts Keep dancing- In my slowly drying tears These gentle ghosts Have haunted me all these years
But I've taken these gentle ghosts And I've taught them about time I've taken these gentle ghosts And I've taught them how to rhyme I've taken these gentle ghosts And I've taught them how to fly I've taken these gentle ghosts And I've taught them how to lie
Oh yes- I've had these gentle ghosts For quite some while And I've taught them how to smile
But I've grown tired As of late And I do not wish For this to be my fate
So it's time- I suppose- To take these gentle ghosts And teach them slowly- Softly-
