The skin Was peeled from his face Or, more likely torn Judging from the frayed skin That surrounded his now red neck
His eyes were closed His brow, if you can call it that Was furrowed- But it didn't seem to be from pain Aggitation, perhaps?
Then eyes Multiple pairs of eyes! They began to protrude from his face Every where they could They did And any way they could They did So long as they fit
They squeezed through the exposed muscle And the raw flesh Surely burning from the exposure His face was becoming more and more deformed
There was no covering For these unwelcome things Due to this They remained constantly open Constantly gazing Constantly emotionless
But his original pair His own eyes Remained calmly closed His brow still furrowed In aggitation Or perhaps concentration Maybe frustration I'm not completely certain Though, whatever the case It failed to be what I expected
To take someone apart. What can we find? I liked this poem. I felt the want to strip away fake face and see real sorrow and pain. I liked the honest tone and story told in the words. Made me want to know and understand more. The poem made me feel sad. Thank you Nicole for sharing the excellent poetry.

There was definitely a certain air of the man in the poem feeling vexed with the world. I'm glad you liked it.
