Forever

“How long does forever last?”
For as long as the seasons continue to pass,
Till every ticking clock stops behind the glass,
When our tired  souls need not be awaken.
and every single last breath has been taken.
Till mankind no longer feels fear’s dread,
when everyone’s last tears have been shed.
Till the oceans, rivers, and seas are dry,
and everyone has bid farewell and goodbye.

My dear, I cannot tell you how long forever will last.
There have only been assumptions from peers of the past.
I cannot tell you when forever will end,
Only that I’ll love you till then.
