Already Forgotten

Already Forgotten

A Poem by Nicole Jane Marie

I look past the scars of his being

as he has already forgotten mine.

Always more of a person,

In nature and in action,

Than the one he gives himself to,

Wholly, entirely.

His naive senses when it comes to who I really am

and what I can make him become,

Is a scar I have inflicted.

But he has already forgotten.
