Lollipop's turn Into cigarettes. The innocent ones turn into s***s. Soda becomes Vodka. Bikes become cars. Undies turn into g-strings. Remember when getting high, meant swinging on the playground?When protection meant, wearing a helmet? when the worst things you could get from boys were cooties? Race issue's were about who ran the fastest. War was only a card game. The only drug you knew was cough medicine. The only things that hurt you,were skinned knees. And goodbyes only meant until tomorrow.
...
awes. ^_^
I love this. For about half a minute I was in first grade again.
Well, my first grade experience wasn't so great,
But this is how I have always imagined it.
It really speaks on the world, and how it changed,
And above all, it's true.
Outstanding=)
Yeah i know exactly where you are coming from in relation to these issues, you are so right on there and have hit the nail on the head with this wonderful piece.
I am affraid the age of innocence has long gone now we live in the age of crime,grime and slime and nothing not even human life seems to have any value we are being consummerised by the nasty media and marketing world.
Politicians don't set us a great example and our role models set the the young and aspiring generation impossible targets to emulate.Well done on a fantastic write.
