The Sketch BookA Story by Nicole40107A story about a magic sketch book
I grab for my sketch book. I open to my drawing of the jungle and flip to the next blank page. I drew a beautiful sunset with the sun just pecking out of the crystal blue water like it's shy and afraid what people might think of it. I drew the birds flying with great big wings. Then I heard something. I heard water pushing gently against the shore, and the birds saying good morning. I look out of my apartment window eight floors up, and see my picture. I see the crystal blue water and the shy and afraid sun. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I open my window and jump into the soft sand. I look at my sketch book and open to a page which I drew a pirate ship with the waves racing high above. I see a door appear. Although it looks the same from all angles like if I walk into it, I'll just go out on the other side. However that wasn't the case. I walked right into the pirate ship. I then realized what I had. A sketch book that can transport me. I flipped to a page with a tiny village where a girl is sitting lonely on a swing set. Then excitingly, I opened back to the page with the jungle. I went in, and it was silent. But I drew many animals I thought to myself. Then all the animals appeared, but not as I wanted them to be. There was every animal there could be. They all looked at me with death stares. It was silent. All I could hear was the sound of the grass rustling against the forest floor. Then an owl hooted and they all charged. I didn't know what to do so I thought of the only thing I could think of. I started erasing the animals in the picture. I used every bit of my eraser while a pawsome gnawed at my ankle. Then when they were mostly faded, I fell asleep. I opened my eyes only to see myself in my bed. When I looked at my jungle picture in my book, I could see where I erased my animals.
