Drivel

Drivel

A Poem by Nicolas Jao

Everything is drivel. I realize

that in this vast and complex rock-ball

combined with the vast and complex number

of things and objects and media and all things in general

people might encounter in a day, the smallest things

influence their decisions.

Such as a word that they like and

decide to insert, such as drivel.

As with the humongous collection of them

inserted in the centre of the piece,

pretentious vocabulary--

which was, in fact, drivel.

Ha! Apathetic is everyone.
