Train Tracks

Train Tracks

A Poem by Nicola Blom

We´re walking slow along the fast track

Talking about the past, with our coffee drunk quite black

You´ve got your rucksack heavy upon your back

Avoiding an awkward and massive anxiety attack

We´re alone on our own in our own universe, here

All of the lights flare and make the shadows scarce

I want to do something wicked " something perverse, bare

Myself to you, cause we are quite the perfect pair

We´re standing still beside the fast track

I´ve been more honest with you than I´ve been with myself

You´ve got your rucksack heavy upon your back

You´re leaving soon, going to put me on your shelf

this reminds of times i met new people...and we exchanged a night of baring our hearts and souls to each other...then in the morning an embrace...and that was it...

it was like one walk along the track...and both our rucksacks now were a bit heavier on our backs...

but the burden was okay because a new friend had been made...even if just for one night of exchange.
