Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

A Poem by Nico Marie
"

An early New Year's poem. I didn't know where I was going with it until the end.

"
The wind howls and whistles,
shaking leaves loose and raining thistles.
The edge of the meadow kisses the sky,
whispering notions of change as the flowers sadly say goodbye.
As summer rolls into fall,
the trees stand with no leaves at all.
The gentle, warm breeze is gone for the season,
and yet, I am not sad for some other reason.
The chill in the air is so crisp and sweet,
and I am frozen from my head to my feet.
It is a cold of which I do not mind,
there is much joy that is easy to find.
When fall fades to winter and winter begins to fade to spring,
my heart does the funniest little thing.
It leaps and it soars as I rise up to cheer,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Happy New Year's!"

About
My new pen name is Nico Marie. I'm 25 now in 2022. This used to be where I vented 9 or 10 years ago as Jekyll 'n Hyde so most of it is extremely cringy. Probably all of it if I'm being honest. I'll mo.. more..
