youthful tears

youthful tears

A Poem by Nico
"

as a young man I wanted to do so much, help those in need....for the lonely....for those shunned by society....loveless......etc.

"

manlookingoutwindow.jpg picture by blueskyns1959

I would like to do something
more and to greatly engage
myself for those that travel to
another world because this one
doesn't descend anymore for them.

for those that feel oppressed
in the grasp of their perplexities
and that know they have lost
too much already and that their only
desire is to win at least one precious race.

I would like to devote myself
and to give everything I've got
to give everything one can give...
to those that have knocked
on every door already
and always got a no,
to those that remained
lonely in so much trouble.

and I would like to liberate
every spirit close to mine
I would like to do something
more for these young tears
I would wish that they would
never fall, that my heart and words

could prevent their fall.

to you who stays alone
behind a window while you're
looking who's leaving and you
cry because you know that
person won't come back anymore

to you because you are being
put aside because you have never
been pretty and you don't have a
love story although you're
waiting for one with open arms

I would like to be the person to cheer up

every spirit close to mine

I would like to do something
more for these young tears
I would wish that they would
never fall, that my heart and words

could prevent their fall.

there are many things I wanted to do
that I could somehow give to everybody,
if only I had arms as big
as my loving heart,

to wipe away those tears

of loneliness,

to soothe every lost soul,

to extend my hand and prevent

their tearful fall,

If only I could turn back time

I would of done so much more,

Yesterday is in the past

and gone and all I have left

are these tears of cowardness

and shame, for failing to wipe

away the misery out there,

for not making a difference,

I can only seek out forgiveness

for only now I realize

There was so much more I

could and should of done,

these youthful tears will

forever flow to create

a river of sorrow and sadness,

IF ONLY I COULD HAVE............

Dude, you are a powerful voice...you are doing something right now, whether you know it or not. You are affecting US...your words are affecting each one of us who reads this. You are making a difference right this very second, for you have affected me. Thank you so much for sending me this to read because I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am a better person for having read it.

One piece of advice, though...let your white horse out to pasture; I had to let mine go. I have for years tried to play savior only to be hurt more times than I can count. The world is a lot colder place than you might think. Just let him run free out on the plains of our past. And think to yourself, I cannot save the world, but I AM, I AM, making a difference with my writing.
Peace.
Peaches.

Our lives are filled with could have/should have done this/that. You expressed this very well. I enjoyed reading this piece. Thanks for sending it my way.

Yes Nature always wants to have it that the young beings feel and think like they could change the world and everything will be good in the end, and when people grow older they see and know that things take their course however many try to change it.

Should have, could have - who hasn't said and thought that in his life?

By repeating the refrain you make it the more powerful. Good and thought provoking write!

This is good! I think that this has a lot of emotion in it. The flow was good. The words you chose had such depth. Very good poem!

Beautiful...As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse who is being rejected and denied by her whole family because she exposed the unblood uncle who did these terrible things, I went to a fantisy world and imagined my father saying these words to me.

I loved it...It gave me hope even in my fantisy world. :)

You know, there are all kind of "Coulda" and "Shoulda" saying, but I seriously enjoyed reading your writing about that. Somehow, it really did get my attention as I was reading along. I don't see anything wrong with it. It's just that it's really nice expressing on "Could have and should have"

So, it's all really great and I'm going to add it to my list...
